Dessa - A "Softer" Twin Cities Rapper →
One of my favorite artists in music, Dessa, was featured on NPR Music this morning. In a wonderful interview, she explores the making of her most recent record, “Castor, The Twin” and a bit of how she got to where she is.
She is an absolute genius, and I’m such an admirer, for many reasons.

Heart and Soul - Robin Thicke →
I’ve always respected Robin Thicke, and thoroughly enjoyed his music. His new album, “Love After War” just came out this last week and he had a fantastic interview with NPR this weekend. My respect for him grew this morning as I listened to him discussing race within the soul/hip hop world as well as the insights he has gained through his experiences.
