Every morning on my way into work, I put the music on that fits my mood - as most people do. Sometimes it’s obvious, others it takes a bit more thought. Usually I take my 15 minute drive to listen to something that I like to sing along to embarrassingly in my car, while driving towards downtown. And the other times, I choose a CD or artist I haven’t listened to in a while, or much at all. This morning was one of the other times.

I’m a huge P!nk fan, I have been ever since she came out. I love her voice, attitude, and willingness to speak up. Her fourth album, “I’m Not Dead,” is my favorite from her. She layered the album with diverse music and lyrical honesty - two of my favorite qualities. So this morning, I put that album on for my drive, and all of the love I have for her and her music just came flooding back.

There is one song in particular from that album that is pretty groundbreaking - “Dear Mr. President.” She wrote it in the heart of President Bush’s presidency, and caused quite a stir. Check out the video above from her world tour performing this song.
